Step 1: The Initial Consultation
This meeting takes place in one of our offices, over the phone, or a place convenient for you. In our first visit, you will meet an experienced estate planning lawyer who will talk about different estate planning strategies, outline costs if you want to get us involved, and address questions. The initial consultation generally takes 45-60 minutes.
Step 2: Draft Documents
After designing paperwork with one of our attorneys, the attorney will work with our team to prepare documents. We do not work with cookie-cutter or fill-in-the-blank forms. Instead, we will prepare a custom Arizona-specific documents that carry out your wishes in the most efficient way possible.
Step 3: Sign Documents
We will meet to review the drafted paperwork, explain the specific provisions, answer questions, and walk you through signing the paperwork. We will provide a notary public and everything that you will need to complete the process. Once complete, you will keep the original paperwork in a fancy binder that we provide for you.
Step 4: Fund Documents
After we walk you through signing and notarizing your paperwork, we will help you transfer assets to your trust. This is called “funding” your trust and is a very important part of the process that is often overlooked or neglected by other companies.
